Before the Grand Canyon became a National Park native Americans lived here for at least 4000 years. The Puebloan people, Anasazi (Hisatsinom), Hopi, Hualapai (Grandk Canyon West = Skywalk) and the largest native people of America: the Navajo (east of the Grand Canyon) to name just a few. Special thanks to Bernd for recording the Colorado river from the edge of Plateau Point PAST the guard rail. I learned later that most fatal falls from the rim and within the Canyon do account to such behavior. …

    Indians didn’t live in the Canyon, it’s too dry and steep.
