This is the city of dreams and has been immortalised forever in songs and movies. This immortalisation of a place is the product of an outstanding venue that inspires and allows the production of very memorable and often catchy tunes.

From the very inner city to the outskirts, you are surrounded by a truly American city. No-where else on this planet can you experience so many degrees of change and so many cultural differences.

The New York City of post 9/11 vibrates with an energy that truly has a life-force of its own and this life-force is accentuated by the marvellous Array of places to visit and things to see.

Aside from having the usual “must see” places, there is another part of the city that comes alive after dark. The night clubs, restaurants, caf’s and bars cannot be beat for getting to know the real pulse of this vibrating city. The People!

As a regular visitor, I have been more than a little astounded at the pleasantness of the people. The pride that New Yorkers have for their city overwhelms and if you need the “skinny” on what’s really happening in the city, then sit next to a native New Yorker and get the Buzz!

For those of you seeking a more traditional holiday in a city, then of course, New York holds a varied Array of museums and attractions that can keep you very busy for the entire length of your stay, no matter how long your stay is.

Memorable places to visit must include, the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The Met), The Natural History Museum, and the Guggenheim all of these venues have regular events and it’s always best to check what’s on the agenda before going, but only because you don’t want to waste half the day in queue waiting to get in.

Visiting other local attractions like the Statue of Liberty, Madison Square Garden and Central Park must be done.

A show on Broadway is always worth while and getting around New York is best, easiest and quickest, on the subway.

One thing to remember in New York, don’t wing it. Get a map and know where you are going and how to get there, getting lost in New York is not a pleasant experience, but if you know where you are going and how you are going to get there you will be less likely to get lost and the worst thing you can do in New York, is look lost. While most people are pleasant, there are always going to be some who are not.
